GXP for sure , , better suspension, better brakes, 255's up front for tires, tap shift. styling is a personal preference. i like the look better. forgot to add that the trans in these cars seem to be weak.

The Monte is BARELY lighter, how many times to I have to say it.
The GXP (3600) is the same size as the MC (3549), both smaller than the ISS (3790) and LCS (3770), 50 lbs is not much. Argue all you want, the MC has longer, heavier doors, extra locks and windows don't weight THAT much, the Alcoa/knock-off wheels are probably lighter, etc. And I like having the two extra doors.
And of course everyone's gonna say get what they got, but do some research and you'll found out the GXP was the one made to play.

Depends on what you want.
I've always preferred four-doors, so that took it down to ImpSS, GP, or the Buick.
I prefer handling, so according to what I've read that took it down to the GP or Super.
The closest vehicles I could find were 170 miles away. There was a new Super I could have gotten into for 24-25 range, and a GXP with 18K for around 16,400.
Add new tires ($800-ish) and an extended warranty ($1000) and the Poncho I bought was still six grand cheaper than the LaCrosse Super.
The Super has more space, probably a bit better ride, and definitely a classier cabin. If the cost difference had been maybe 3 grand, I'd have gone with the Super. NOBODY will know you've got a hot car. There are probably still lots of LaX S around with low miles.
Good luck, you'll probably like whatever you get.
I've had AM radio reception/dealer stupidity problems with mine, and the nav is a joke (foreverlost), and the LR strut needs replacing, but otherwise it's a great car.

They probably all weigh less than what Edmunds had. MT said the GXP was 130 lbs lighter than the Impala.
Pontiac has 3600 for the GXP http://www.pontiac.com/vehicles/grandprix/features.do
And apparently, I've been wrong as other sites had the MC at 3490, as well.
I'd still go with the GXP any day. Not just saying that because I own one. I'd rather a G8 GXP, STi, or Evo VIII.
It would be cool to see a modded Super.
Sedan>Coupe, especially if you've got a lot of friends (ROAD TRIPS!) or a family.
