Default tire problem

just bought 4 new good year f1s this november had a bubble in the front guy said they goodyear discontinued them then said they found a falkin with a simliar tread pattern so i got that , went to get oil changed and the guy showed me some wear on my tires that are hardly 3 weeks old. turns out is a summer tire gonna take it back. does mixing a all season and a summer tire up front cause possible powertrain problems?

It's not the best for driveability to mix tire tread designs on the same axle, but shouldn't cause any damage. What kind of wear are you getting?

It sounds like your tire dealer is a complete idiot.

I'd go find a new one pronto.

the best thing to do is run the same tires on the same axle. I personally would not run two different tires on the same axle, but I have run different tires up front - and different in the rear.

I'd do that, keep matching tires onthe same axle - especially the drive wheels.
