Off Topic: Anybody carry concealed?

I carry a colt combat elite 1911. Been my favorite for a very long time. Before that my daily carry was a H&K USP compact .40 The H&K never failed, jammed, etc... just went bang every time.
As far as what it's chambered in, don't stress the details, 9mm is fine and ammo is inexpinsive. Shooting more and getting more pratice is far more importiant than carrying the most powerful thing you can find. Lots of range time is the factor to be able to use your pistol correctly. And if you carry concealed, you NEED to pratice drawing from how you carry.

357 cop When I ran a strip club I carried a stainless 4 barrel 357. They were made for off duty cops. I had read that the 125 grain jacketed hollowpoint 357 was the all time one shot stop record holder. That was in 1990 and I haven't kept up so I don't know if it's still true. cop stands for compact off duty police. I think they're made by american derringer now. After carefully aiming and squeezing the trigger type of shooting I came to the conclusion that in a real life situation I would probably be just pointing and shooting instinct style. Shooting in that fashion I'm able to place all four bullets into a chest size area at 50 feet. The cop is about the size of a 25 automatic so it's an easy conceal. I think that I'll look into a concealed permit again as I'll be 70 in january and older people do get targeted.

I've been shooting my whole life,I have a kimber compact 45 auto for carry.If I think I might have to use a gun,I carry a s&w 60,5 shot 357,2".Nothing to think about,no safety,hammer drop,just pull the trigger.In the heat you don't want to think about anything but how to survive.Mr. mugger,let me check my safety first.

Thank broddy you can borrow it sometime hahahaha JK but I do give it two thumbs up it fill your hand not to heavy just perfect and shoots pretty straight also really easy to clean 4 major part to take apart and clean check them out I went all black they have a black and silver which really cool but its FNHUSA.com i think if not seach FNH FNP-9MM

EXACTLY! Revolver is the way to go in an emergency situation for almost everyone. I doubt very many people have the time/money to train enough on a semi-auto to do better under stress than with a point and squeeze wheelgun. As far as the folks who like the .380's, I just see nothing but disadvantages to the .380. It is essentially a slow, expensive 9mm round.
