New project update-working on pics hey guys been a while since i have made an appearance here.... things look to be going good lots of nice work and some good track times!
Im going to steal the girlfriends camera tomorrow to get pics i have a 70 firebird formula 400 in the works im almost done redoing the braking system which is stock minus stainless seel lines and crossdrilled rotors up front. also put in poly body mounts.
Im building a 428 pontiac motor for it i acquired ready for assembly i put the crank in today tomorrow ill be degreeing the cam its a 204/215 with .420 .443 lift forged rods from a 62 pontiac, cast pistons.
planning on butler performance ported edelbrock heads a dual plane mani and probably a 750 carb which according to butler should put me in the 450-500hp range.
the car has a 3.75 rear end, traction bars, and i have a muncie m20 so i can shift it myself!
still love hate with the grand prix i toasted a 2002 mustang gt the other day getting onto the highway off a clover leaf, he was ahead of me about 2 lengths he punched it i did the same. on his bumper at 70, i let up on the throttle then decided to change lanes and bring it home. walked HARD on him! he was looking at tails at 110, i smiled and waved on my way by he was not happy, shut it down at 119.
Went through my second set of rear tires in two years now though alignment sucks!
once the firebird moves under its own power the grand prix is leaving the driveway ill sell the hood with the car if nobody here REALLY wants it otherwise i can take dimensions and make a template for any diy guys ill have laser cutter time this fall so i can make more grills for the shakers to match the rest. anything else you guys need just give me a shout! happy modding!
