Need to use non DOD lifters in order to use the Non DOD tray. So now I will be swapping lifters or using a L76 G8 cover that will be modified.
I was having the same problems as Haulin LS4. Engine would start popping (it was the lifters for sure) after about 20sec of run time after start up and then it would go away. I re installed my stock tray and and intake for the time being.. but now I have a
P0304 code that keeps popping up. I have re set the computer twice, swapped coils, plugs, wires and prayed with no luck!![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
I will more then likely be forced to do a compression test on number 4 cyl to check for damage since I may have damaged a lifter. If this is the case then I will probably just swap out the DOD lifters for std. ones. My buddy offered to port my heads so I may even go with a TR220 cam.
I'm not really to motivated to do all of this crap right now though cause I'm pretty sick in my stomach right now.
