Cold Air Intake Noise? Hi guys,
I recently installed a Cold Air Inductions cold air intake (unfortunately...he sent me wrong parts and wouldn't warranty
). I have a whistle noise under slight throttle. Every other cold air intake I've ever installed was very noisy afterwards. We are, however, wondering if I don't have a leak somewhere based on my tune log. I was wondering if people with CAI's do or don't have an intake noise.

The Cold Air Inductions kit, Sir. On the way home yesterday, after I posted this, I shut the radio off and really listened. It's a very quiet noise but is apparent on 1/4 or so throttle. If I depress the throttle more, it goes away. I'll do the "ether" test and spray ether everywhere and see if the idle raises. It's tough to know if my logs are correct or if I have a problem when you live at 7200 feet elevation. I've got to move somewhere lower!

i have the K&N CAI and mine makes a sucking sound too like it's taking a deep breath. (when i first installed it, i was scared and thought i did something wrong until my best friend said thats what its supposed to sound like) but it makes a whistle noise too when it idles but u can barely hear it unless u put your ear close to it. sounds almost like a turbo

I like the noise too, but I hate the fact that I'm louder coming than going. Of course I could always get a performance cat-back, but based on some vids on here even the Magnaflow kit isn't louder than the intake.
