My car is tuned to shift @ 6200 rpm but lately for the past 3 days when rolling @ 60mph and go wot third gear will shift @6500rpm ???? Second gear still shifts @ 6200rpm. Also I've noticed on 30mph rolls that the tc takes a little longer to lock. Other than that on normal driving trans shifts smooth and no slipping Any ideas?

 

the shift points should be programmed by the pcm's. i changed mine during my tune to 6200rpm and i rarely hit that unless im at the track.

 

Well it was tuned to shift @6200rpm and it has been doing for the past 6months but just latetly the shifting from second to third @ 6500rpm during wot.

 

ive got mine set to 6050. is there enough power up there with mild bolton parts? rpms hit close to 6200 before the shift is finished.

 

6200 rpm is a little high for the 2-3 shift, 6500 is way to late. I feel (depending on your mods) anywhere between 6100-6200 is optimal for the 1-2 shift and 5900-6000 is optimal for the 2-3 shift.
