The Chevy Volt. I think it's 100% electric, but don't quote me on that lol

I think the Volt's are going for 41 grand but you can get a tax credit of $7500

Within 2hrs I drove a new Mustang 5.0 auto, Camaro SS/RS auto, & Challenger SRT8 auto. Note that all the cars were within $500 of each other with the Challenger being the cheapest. All 3 of these cars are awesome but they all drive differently.

Since I wasn't looking for a pure drag car I wanted a car with lots of power down low.

Just looking at the autos the Camaro had the most power down low with the SRT8 a close 2nd. The Mustang 5.0 auto is a dog down low. Above 3000rpms the Mustang pulls the hardest of the 3.

After driving the manual version of these cars. The Mustang is the clear winner but you have to keep the rpms above 3000rpms to get any real power.

The SRT8 road manners are more refined than the Mustang or Camaro and feels like a much smaller car than it is.

I just a saw a 5.0 at the track last friday. It ran 13s and 14s with stock tires and a DA of 2300 ish. I think I am still gonna see if I can get a test drive though.

Interesting about the Challenger's road manners... Must be getting ready for the upgrade since they're 8K off.

This isn't the first time I've heard of high 13s/low 14s out of the new 5.0s. I don't think they are as quick as the magazines lead us to believe. Several reports of them in this time range.

Putting down ~390 whp in a 3600 lb car seems like even an amateur should be cutting mid 13s.

Car mags usually have bad drivers, 14.3 in the GXP, most people on here have done much better.

Well guys if something ever happened to the SS I would buy ether the Challenger or Mustang
I dont like the Camaro at all

It had the 5.0 on the side. I think it was a combo of the driver and street tires. But still, I was not impressed.

A 450hp? 6.4L Hemi is in the works for the Challenger. The 1st Dodge dealer I went to said they only had $3,500 to play off MSRP & didn't know how the other dealer could take $8,000 off so I went to the other dealer.

On the Mustang forum I'm on a guy took his 11 Mustang 5.0 and only pulled high 13s & low 14s.

My GXP is faster than the new 5.0 auto that I took for a test drive. The 5.0 manual will destroy my GXP and is faster than my new SRT8 Challenger.

The road manners of the SRT8 Challenger are amazing. I had 5 adults in it last night & it didn't phase it. Guess that's the plus of already being 4,100 lbs.
