Default resonator delete question

alright so i have stock exhaust. im thinking about getting rid of the resonator and replacing it with a manual cutout. i was wondering if when the cutout is closed will my exhaust have a nice rumbled to it? or will it sound loud and raspy? thanks

When the cutout is open you'll have a loud exhaust note. When it's closed it'll be louded than stock. As far as the cutout, I'd put it between the rear lateral arms so it doesn't get hit on bumps and such.

it will be raspy without the resonator and a little bit louder than stock with the cutout closed

My cutout stays open just enough to let exhaust flow through, it's rarely more than 10% open unless I'm showing off, drowning out rap, or showing trucks theirs are quiet. I've a vid to post when I get home, granted it's catless and with MagnaFlows, yours will be a bit quieter.

I don't think she'd appreciate that, lol.

My car may be ugly, depending on who you ask, but it sounds good.

Took the metal cap off, I kinda bent/dented it on accident when some idiot decided to pull out in front of me.

And he'll hear it soon.

Yeah, I just hit it weird while honking the horn, lol. People always pull out in front of me, and if they ever say, "I didn't see you," I'll say, "Well, I know you heard me."

And thanks.

Right now I'm running the magnaflow cat back system, and bringing it in the shop today to get the resonator deleted as well. You guys suggest getting a cat delete too? I would like my car to be a little on the loud side, but not obnoxious

I've been wanting to do the same thing as well. I'm still running the stock exhaust w/Doug Thorleys and no cat, I have a 3" cut just laying in my garage but havent bought the electric door for it yet. I want to delete the res for a little better tone, but I'm afraid it might sound worse.
