Misc. questions about the GXP?
Misc. questions about the GXP? Hey I have a few questions I like to bounce off you guys about my car. Instead of making a thread for just one I thought I ask them all in one.
1. I need a good shop in my area (Metro Detroit) to port my TB and Intake maifold and install some other misc. parts anyone have any ideas outside of Vector Motor Sports (they said they won't port).
2. I want to get a tranny cooler but I don't know which is the best. Anyone one on here that can stear me in the right direction would be a HUGE help.
3. Finally I'm really thinking about taking the plunge on the D.T. Head's. Are they really worth the $960 there asking for them?

As far as porting goes, IDK the Detroit area, but there is a user on here that does porting. I bought the ported intake manifold off him, but I can't think of his name. If I do I'll let ya know. But you will most likely have to send it out to get it ported. You can also do it yourself but I have no idea how that process goes.
I think DT sold his last pair of headers, and he is not making anymore. You will proly have to find some used. There is a pair in the classifieds that are going for $450, but IDK if they sold or not.

Call Thorley yourself (not being rude, just follow me on this)... He did a group buy on here for $650 and was still offering them at that price. However, I called a while back and he said he only had a few sets (2 or 3) left and once they were gone he was done. But i've seen more than a few people (more than 2 or 3) buy a new set since so either he was trying the sales pitch or he's out, either way, give it a try.
There's a company, not sure the name, that offers a ported throttle body for like $100 if my memory serves correct. That would probably be much cheaper than having some place do it.
Have some friends in Clinton township, need to get back up that way. Nice area.

I can set you up with some DTs (brand new, still in the box).
