Default Coil Spring Spacers?

Anyone have any experience with coil spring spacers in cars? I need to raise the rear about 1/2-3/4", since it looks too low when compared to the front (when lowered with the SSC springs). The car is level, but it's the look that bothers me. Since I'm swapping out the KYB's for OE struts, I might as well try to adjust the ride height in the process.

Thoughts? Links to purchase?

I know I'd would like to try them for the track....But I belive they do have a permamance. I'd use the rubber ones. There was a time when PepBoys used to sell them.

After hearing a lot of negatives elsewhere, stating that it's a "band aid" fix (which is true), I'm just going to reinstall the stock struts and see where that puts me with the lowering springs. Since these KYB's are definitely set up to be lower than OE struts, as evidence with the inner tire wear, reinstalling OE should raise them accordingly (I'm guessing 1/2 or so)...which might put me in the ballpark of being satisfied with the rear ride height.

So I'd like to think you have alredy went the cam bolt/elongate the boss route you can get the the rear wheels near vertical?

Aren't the KYB struts similar in dimension to the factory struts?

No, that's not the problem/answer. The KYB AGX and GR2's (aka Excel-G), while initially sold as direct-fit replacements, have a lower spring perch in comparison to the bolt holes...bringing the perch closer to the tires (which are as vertical as they can be) and effectively lowering the car by that much.

As the tires get hot and expand, the 1/2" gap between the tire and perch disappears and the inner tire is worn away. At this point, they're as worn as they're going to be, but not dangerously so, so I'm in no real hurry but figured I might as well attack the issue since I have a guy now that charges very little for stuff like this. Plus, it's about time to rotate tires, but I'm not going to do that if I know that I'll ruin another pair by putting them under
these struts.

In order to correct my issue without buying parts, I'd need to elongate the boss holes vertically, and there's little to no room beneath the lower of the two holes to get the adjustment that I need.

Plus, when it's all said & done, these GR2's were no better than stock.

I don't like the "tucked" look that the rear has right now...but I suppose if they were both tucked it would look better. Unfortunately, I'm in no mood to be any more of a snowplow than I am already in Buffalo winters (which was surprisingly not an issue last year)...and the ride around here in the summer is pretty jolting, even now with the stock wheels & tires installed.

Yeah I know what you mean. The stock struts really don't cut it with the SSCs after a about a year of using them with the lowering springs. I've come to the same conclusion regarding the KYBs. They are a PITA.

I still need a camber bolt kit for my rears so they don't look so tucked. Originally when I lowered the car, the camber was spot on, but now its a problem?

So the angle of the struts that you have with the lowering springs is causing the inside of the tire to rub spring seat of the KYBs....Strange they would build them like that.Well yeah elongating the holes vertically would fix that... hopefully it will hold.

So how are the kybs compared to stock? You can not tell a real difference?
