he just said thats what it looked like, my vote it was a cloned GT or an earlier cobra with the termy bumpers/spoiler.

With his mods he shouldn't have much of a problem beating a stock/lightly modded N/A 4v car.

Ask me how I know.

He wouldn't have kept up with a terminator, no. But an N/A 4v Cobra? Yeah. When I had his mods I had my way with many a 4v car.

I could possibly believe that, if it was a NA cobra pre 2003. But even then it would have to have been an inexperienced drive mod. While there is no replacement for displacement, front wheel vs rear wheel is no comparison at the same HP rating.

you mean "front wheel vs rear wheel is no comparison at the same HP rating from a stop", I understand that front wheel drives have shitty traction from a stop but generally front wheel drives have less horsepower loss from the motor to the wheels, thusly more horsepower at the wheels then its rear wheel drive counterpart

So weight, gearing, and roll speed don't factor into the equation at all? The ~20hp advantage from the factory can easily be overcame by the things I mentioned as well as Dustin's mods and the LS4's torque output. I put ~2 cars on N/A 4v Cobras and Mach 1s from rolls and digs when I was at his power level. Hell, I ran a intake/LTs/Gear Mach 1 with a driver that's been low 9's in his 6-speed 03 Cobra and he put a car-car and a half on me from a dig.

There's absolutely nothing unbelievable about him pulling a stock 4v from an LS4's highway roll (60-65mph).

Nobody races dyno numbers here, do they? Real world experience here. 303 hp factory rated may show as much as 245 whp on a dyno. Where as Fords under rated 4V NA motors are rated at 320 hp and 317 ftlbs of trq Now let's look at torque, the OP is running 20" wheels correct!

Also the Monte SS is roughly 200# heavier if I recall correctly. I don't recall wieght distribution but that plays a huge roll also.

All you have to do is produce real world numbers of YOUR MCSS's 1/4 mile times and then the truth will be told. Until then it's all speculation. And the only ones that will say your car beat a Cobra is you! I do understand that the driver of the "Cobra" may have been taken by your "GF" looks as I may have been myself and forgot to "give it all she's got captain".

You forgot to factor in the extra 70HP the terminator has. Not to mention the tq.And that's factory rating which was about 35-40 hp low.

The proof is in the text, search and you will see. There is know way that a 2006-2007 Monte Carlo SS will out perform a 2003-2004 Terminator Cobra, even if the Monte has Thorley headers and tune, which may add 30 hp, Period. Unless as I stated earlier the driver mod.
