Should I be disappointed? Track time after mods--> So I finally made it out to the track (1/8 mile) after throwing some mods at the GXP; FWI, DT headers w/no cat, and tune (still running stock cat-back). I managed a best of 9.07 @ 76.84mph on a 2.09 60' when the car was bone stock, but the weather was awesome that day as well as the track prep. Last night was a different story, humid and track prep was horrid. I couldnt do any better than a 2.3x 60ft all day, until the very last run of the night. Last and best run went as follows:
2.128 60', 9.025 @ 78.98 mph
I went back and got the DA info for date I ran the car stock and it was 1400' vs. last night's run where the DA was 2377'. Would the difference in DA play that big of a role in the times? Just trying to justify why the car didnt dip into the 8.9's like I wanted, although it did pick up a couple mph from the last time out. Thoughts??

I think the DA was definitely a factor. But it's hard to compare different days/track Back when I had my 04 Sentra. Before any major mods, I went on a Friday night, ran 14.7 @ 93 with a 2.1 60 foot, with mediocre track prep.
Went back the next day when the track was having an event. In the test and tune I ran 14.5 @ 94, with a 2.0 60 foot. The DA was worse the Saturday, but the track prep was so much better my time were a lot better.

Well, the track prep definitely wasnt as good as it needed to be. I'm going back to the 1/4 mile track in Nov to hopefully click off a few 13 sec passes, I need some tires before then though. Anyone have a lead on some 17" drag radials?
