Wheel Bearings, Flipped motor mount

Wheel Bearings, Flipped motor mount
Hey all I took my SS to my friend's garage today and he confirmed the noise that I was hearing is a front wheel bearing going south. He just purchased this new tool that uses 4 sensors that are attached close to each of the 4 wheels. The car is then taken for a test drive and the sensors pick up and can detect what wheel the noise is coming from. Pretty Sweet.. He informed me that he has been replacing a bunch of wheel bearings lately, from ALL Makes, he is led to believe that it is being caused by potholes and all the road construction going on here in central Ohio right now.
Ok with me being a newbie, what is the advantage to flipping the motor mount?? what mount are you flipping?? Sorry for the redundant / old/ probably covered 20 times question, but I am curious and did not find any posts about it
Thanks

I would just buy the poly mounts, replace the old with the new and sell the spare to a fellow member...
By the way its the top mount connected to the motor and the radiator support on the passenger side...

its an oscillating noise whenever you start to turn the wheel in one direction around 20-50 mph is when its most notable ...
but seeing as everyone responding so far is an 06 or newer ... heres how you fix them, same way i did ...
step 1 - get in the car
step 2 - drive to any chevy dealer
step 3 - tell them you need some warranty work done on your wheel bearings
step 4 - go watch tv in the waiting room or sit in a corvette in the showroom til its done ...
step 5 - go home
step 6 -

oh btw i checked with 3800performance, and you can purchase only one of the bushings for 39.99 if you dont want the hassle of trying to sell the spare off ...
it firms up the power delivery ... something you have to feel for yourself i think ... better throttle response

The noise I and I bet everybody else was hearing was a hum (almost like AT tires) I almost convinced myself that it was tires until I started reading all the posts on this forum. The warranty is gone on the 06 models
I will have to look into flipping the mount, anything I should be aware of before I get into it??
Thanks Mel for the welcome, sweet looking car

maybe the warranty on your car is done, but mine certainly isnt, and i just had the warranty work done about a week ago ... you might want to check your manufacturing date and call a dealer just to check ...
no need to find out after youve already paid for it ...
and as far as flipping the motor mount, lots of wd40 and let that stuff soak in real good ...

I have not had the work done yet, my friend suggested that I let it go for a while as it is just starting to make noise. I will contact the dealer and see what they tell me, as I was thinking that the 06 models sill had the old 3 yr/ 36000 warranty on them (I didn't buy this car new) Maybe I am wrong, so I will check.. I looked today and my upper motor mount is on the Drivers side... I started soaking it with PB Blaster and am going to order the new mount tonight.

Could this be wheel bearings, too?

if you bought the car certified used it should have 5yr/100,000mile powertrain. which the bearings fall under. its 5 years from the date the car was originally sold. i just had my bearings done this week that past. my car didnt originally sell until march of 07 so my warranty has till march of 2012. definitely call and find out.

No I didn't get a certified used model, I bought my SS from a guy that lost his job and needed out of his lease, so I payed off the lease and got the car.
LS1 racing: Just to be on the safe side, I would get the bearings checked... they are over $250.00 per side to get fixed, and since you are close on the warranty, get it done ASAP...
