Remote Start Issues
Remote Start Issues Hey guys, like the title says I'm have issues with remote start. Like most other people, the battery holders in my remotes came loose. Eventually, I had them soldered back in place, but now the remote start button isn't working right in both my remotes. When I try to use it, it sets off the panic alarm. i don't think that the remotes need to be reprogrammed because the door locks still work. Any ideas of why this happening? I have an '06 GXP if that makes a difference.

I have never heard of the battery holders in the remotes coming loose. If both remotes are doing exactly the same thing, i find it hard to believe that it is the remotes. Sounds like it is the module in the car to me. good luck with this problem.
No, I don't have a CEL and I did make sure that the remote start option in the DIC was on. I don't think its the key fobs either, so thats why i'm kinda stumped on the issue.
check the fuses under the hood for the remote start. one time i had a bad fuse and it killed my unlock and trunk release but still had lock and panic (this was on my GTP but might be the same thing)

I did think about that at one point, but I don't know which fuse it might be.
Yesterday I checked all the fuses I thought that it might be and they all seem to be fine. Its starting to annoy me now and I hate to have to go to the dealership for something that might be simple.
