I find it interesting that while some options are extra cost on some models they are standard on others. I guess that's why there is a difference in standard vehicle price. My car started at $32K (no, I didn't pay that) and others (SS, GXP) topped out at that price.

Interesting question. My car is pretty much loaded. I'd like to look at the brochure though just to see what was what on this car when ordering.

I guess I don't have the block heater either.

For the record, No block heater and no 6 disc. everything else I have!

Rick, you didn't have the polished wheels, just the machined ones?? I never realized that.

When I ordered my 06 SS, it was bare bones, the only option being the SS package. Ebony cloth interior, victory red paint. If it cost extra I did not get it. Still actually have the original window sticker. Maybe Ill scan it in one of these days. It's a laugh when you see the column for total options "0$".

Then I traded for an 07 SS, and it's fully loaded, stuffed to the gills.

That's a lost art right there! It seems that most people will just drive whatever the dealer has right off the lot.

I ordered a 1984 Monte Carlo SS brand new and it seemed like it took FOREVER to get delivered. I kept calling the salesman and bugging the crap out of him...I was like 20 at the time and a little impatient.

My current driver I picked from a list of 5 cars online and whittled it down to color and options with distance playing a big factor.

I would have "ordered" it the same way.

I work where I bought my car, so it's pretty cool. I'm trying to think of how long it actually took to be delivered. Like maybe a month ? When I get home, I'll snag that window sticker and scan it. Honestly, the stripped version was more than I could have ever wanted, and I was happier than anything with it.

Trading up to the 07 had it's good and bad points. Sure, it was fully loaded, but, I had the 06 right from day 1, it was every thing I wanted and chose, my hand was in it's creation.

Funny thing was, they saw what kind of deal that car was, ordered a twin just like it and the thing sold in a week or so after being on the lot.

Good stuff, Red!

I drove to Watertown, MA to pick up my car. It was listed on Cars.com and was just as far as I wanted to drive from NJ to get it....roughly 200 miles. And yes, it was worth it!

That's cool, Watertown is under twenty minutes from where I currently sit.

Not to awake a dead thread but, I would like to know where the block heater would be if I had it.

I may have it, just unaware.

Nor the Impalas.

09 SS only four options available:

Sunroof
6 disk
BOSE
Body side moldings

I have them all, but really wanted one without moldings.

I'm pretty sure I have exactly this on my GXP, minus the XM Satellite. Previous owner had an aftermarket XM setup, which BTW left a horrible circular scratch on my trunk I have yet to buff out lol.
