Default vibration at 55-65

i got this vibration at 55- 65mph i balanced the tires it helped a little. but still there. steering wheel shakes too not real bad but annoying. tires not bad shape. maybe out of round ? i heard wheel bearings can cause vibration my right front one has slight play in it. 70 mph + its smooth i dont get it. it seems to be on acceleration and coasting. too.

Me too....

I've balanced my wheels, alignment and taken it into the dealer. The dealer says there is nothing wrong with the car. So, whatever, I think its the trans and maybe ISS...

Mine did this on the stock RS-As. New tires cured it for me.

I have the same vibration! In skewl we learned that if you overtighten the wheels you can cause that...or at least thats what I got out of it lol. Let me know if I'm right. Our wheels are only supposed to be at 80 lb ft iirc and most people just use the air gun at max setting.

From the service manual:

2. Install the wheel nuts using J 39544-KIT .

Tighten
Tighten the nuts in a criss/cross pattern to 140 N·m (100 lb ft).

Oh I don't know, because 20 lb ft of torque doesn't make a difference.

Most cars have their wheels torqued at 100 lbs. That's what I have always torqued mine at and haven't had any problems

Hmm, Im hear to tell ya, I'm running the RE760's and IMO they are J-U-N-K.

People probably think I'm crazy, but my Nankangs on my GT are better.....

I think having front tires road force balanced is the way to eliminate vibration.
