Default Pimp (un-Pimp?) my Buick!

OK, so your long-lost uncle had passed away and left you his car in his will. Yes, his '08 LaCrosse Super that he only drove to the package goods store and back. It is garage-kept and mint with low mileage, but it smells like Old Spice cologne.

While it's cool to get something for free, maybe the Buick just isn't your style as it sits. Do you keep it and do your own tasteful mods or do you just sell it and get something else?

De-chrome/monochrome paint, two-tone, slam, 20's, mesh/billet grille, blackout trim, (matte-black spray-bomb)...let's hear it!!

With something that rare, maybe mods should be done in a way that it can be put back to stock.

That's just IMO

Leave it alone... And flat black is my thing, for a few more months. Billet grilles rarely look good, 20s are a no, a moderate drop is ok, and maybe a flat black wrap, no paint, and a spare set of lights to black out, if you really wanna do it.

I'd love to have gotten a LaX.

Shoot, it is just a Buick Lacrosse in the long run! (a very sweet Buick that I would love to own, I might add.) Pimp that puppy out! Do whatever you want with it.

I personally would cut it up and put it on a 4X4 frame. It would have a souped up Duramax and 6 inch exhaust stacks. I would then clean up the LS4and put it in my living room with a piece of glass on top and use it as a coffee table!

1 of 3000ish... Would you cut up anything that limited production? The only reason my car is the way it is is because of the wreck and not being able to find a decent rear GXP clip at the time and my front clip peels like a banana... The satin helps hide the spots... I kinda miss my car being silver.

Ha ha! No, I wouldn't really cut it up. I was kidding. I would customize it anyway I saw fit, though. If you put it in climate controlled storage under a car cover, then yes, leave it stock. But if you drive it and use it like a car, customize it. Even though there were only around 3,000 made, they did make a ton of regular Lacrosses that you can get parts from. I also highly doubt that any LS4 cars will ever be worth any real money in the future. Although nice cars and a lot of fun, they are just w-bodies with a V8.

i would look into getting a chrome billet mesh grille, a set of 20 inch rims, tinted windows, and chrome side mirror covers. it will compliment that red, plus its a luxury car so why not?

What he said.

I wouldn't mod anything that couldn't easily be put back to stock. I did this with my Grand National. Everything I did is reversible...Except for maybe the GNX cluster!

I'm going to agree with these two fine gentlemen... any mods I did would be reversible and I'd keep all the stock parts.

Yes, it is possibly to add more chrome to this car. I've seen regular LaCrosses with chrome door pillars and wheel arches but that's just too much.

The grille on this car makes a bold statement...you either love or hate the trademark "waterfall" effect. I would consider a tastefully done mesh a la Caddy CTS-V upper & lower.

Black chrome could be another avenue to ponder.....wheels, body trim, etc., smoke headlamps/blinkers and tails.

With all due respect, to those of you that wouldn't mod this car, why? Do you really think that someday it will be worth a bunch of money? Why not enjoy your car and mod it to your hearts content?

If it were up to me I would do basic mods to change the appearance. Such as lowering, tint and some different wheels. Other than that I would keep the rest of the car as is. The look of them is already pretty good. No need to get crazy with it.

If he ever wants to sell it for close to what it's worth, he needs to avoid things that come in cans, I'll never be able to sell mine for that reason. And he can do whatever he wants as long as it's reversible for the same reason.

My inner car enthusiast wouldn't allow to do that to such a rare and already good looking car, I regret doing it often, but I have to deal with it, and since it's done why not go crazy with it. And who know it MAY be a piece of history one day, do you think back in the '60s and '70s they thought the cars would be so sought after? It's a unique car, oozes class and rapes Mustangs. Only around 80k LS4 based cars were produced, that's a very small fraction compared to other cars, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the lower mileaged ones is worth a little more in the future.
