Transmission...what parts to get
Transmission...what parts to get Over the winter, I plan on gathering a bunch of parts for my tranny and then taking it in to get it rebuilt
So far, I have a trans-go shift kit and a trans cooler on the car.
I've bought a new hardened 4th clutch shaft, and a low mileage 4340 input shaft.
Also on the list are:
7/8" chain with 3.29 gears
new torque converter
TEP Master kit with zpak 3rd
sonnax sure cure kit
I've been looking at a zzp output shaft, either solid or gun drilled. Is this needed?
Also, a chrome moly pump shaft. Once again is this needed?
Mods are headers, rockers, 3" exhaust, tune. I'll have a ported TB and LS1 intake, g8 maf and 4" intake pipes on by then as well.

Are you getting the TEP valve body, as well? If not, it's worth the $300. It should prevent most of the issues our transmissions seem to have. I'm waiting on mine and should have it this week.

When I order the upgraded valve body, can I cross off the sonnax sure cure kit off my list, as it seems those parts are what goes into the valve body?

Also, make sure to get the Sonnax Converter Relief Valve, if not's already included. It costs about $5.00 and will keep your TCC from grenading. and wiping out your trans.

edit; just contactthem they are great to deal with and will set you in the right direction, fyi they don`t sellto the public but will set you up with someone real close to you.
