Average listener. Was thinking of just grabbing a Walmart sub LOL, not close to any other decent stores.

JL FTW. my best sounding system was 2 classic 10W3's powered by a kicker ZR360 wired to 2ohm mono. good, clean, hard hitting bass.

my loudest ever by far (and i researched the hell out of it) was 4 Kicker Comp 15's with a Classic Directed 1100d wired to 1ohm. 1100rms/1400pk. the box was a shade over 10 CuFt in the trunk of my old 1997 cadillac deville. Kicker 1/0 wiring kit. That would blur your vision something nasty.

so you could say im a fan of kicker & JL ... Though i've also had great luck with Alpine Type R's as well.

This time around im sticking to my stock monsoon outfit and going with an ipod adapter. it sounds good enough for me...im just too lazy to change cd's anymore.

I'd go with the Alpine MRX-M50 and one of These

Should be able to get it shipped to your door for around $400 especially since that amp is on clearance everywhere right now. Walmart stuff isn't terrible, but its really a waist when you can just get good stuff for just a bit more. you will also need a 4 guage amp kit for about another $50 tops, and I'd reccomend a deep cycle battery whenever adding a sub amp.

That sub will sound really tight and hit nice on that amp. i've even done that sub on 600rms and it didn't show any fatigue. the type R's are severly underrated on power handleing.

Looks like I'll wait a while and start a sub fund and do it right rather than throwing it together. I was just in that 'mood' yesterday to get it done fast. Instant gratification haha.

Thanks again guys.
