GXP vs. Snow
i have hancook winter i*pike 245/45s on my stockers and they work great. we just got 5 inches of snow and i plow right through and and stop like theres nothing on the ground. I have had blizzaks before and i think they work just as good. heres some pics

Yeah I was looking at the hankooks (V4 and V12) and all the reviews i read said they were "life threatening" on "just a dusting" of snow lol.
My fear is that I drive too much for winter tires. Work is still 104 mile round trip, no matter the weather conditions.
However, as of Monday my truck will be back up and on the road and no pile of snow will be stopping that thing!

To original post. Just put those same tires on my GXP, the kuhmo's. So far they have been great in the snow, and i live in northwest ohio. just got 2-6inches and have had no problem. Strongly recommend them for anyone who just does normal driving.

F1s have NOT been impressing me in the cold/snow, even on a dry road I have traction problems if I get too aggressive with the loud pedal.
Fortunately my snow tires are 31X10.5 BFG All-Terrains. On a '99 ZR2 Blazer. Car gets to stay parked if its that bad out! But I really do prefer driving it so I'm thinking Blizzaks next year. Had very good experiences with them on RWD cars in the past, and that way I can go with a more performance oriented tire for the rest of the year.
