hello everybody. i would like to start off by saying i am new to this forum and this is my first post lol. i have an 08 silver imp ss and i love this car. ok. now to the question. i was curious, i had been browsing this forum before and i thought i saw someone put an ss badge on the front of the grille. i remember liking how it looked in the bottom right corner( where the bow tie is) and was wondering how i cld attach this, i didnt know if double sided tape would hold it. thanks guys

Are you meaning this SS? If so, it's a door emblem. Use fishing line to remove the bowtie. It's pretty easy.

Welcome & congrats on the purchase.

You could paint the grille flat black and get a set of Anzo headlights.

Looks good on black, but most colors chrome still looks good on. I do love the SS badge instead of the bowtie.

Mine: I used clear silicone (RTV) to attach. Because of the mesh, 3M is not the best. I tried that first. It works great for the center bowtie replacement if you go that route, but not so good directly on the black mesh. It is still secure and withstands high pressure touchless car washes every week.

Here is another idea: I really disliked how the airbag indicator took center stage in the dash. If the airbag needs serviceing, you will STILL get a DIC message by the way.

Lastly, if you have a light interioir, color your SS with an extra fine sharpie. Cool thing is all three of these mods cost less than 30 bucks total and an hour of your time or less.

I just bought some silver decals from a website that I googled. They look like they belong on the car and cost $6 plus shipping. At first glance, they look like the real SS headrests.

BigBlackBox - I love your car too. Nice job! It looks menacing. Maybe add the chrome/amber turn signal bulbs to it to get rid of the egg yoke look? Mine were $8.20 for the set off ebay. No burnout issues so far. In another thread, I provided the link to the ebay seller.

Also, for the OP, the SS on my grill in the lower corner is the small SS that is used on the trunk - not the large door SS that the guys use to replace the bowtie.

+1 for the egg yolk deleting turn signals, I've had them for about a year and a half.

Good thread. I too have the chrome/amber turn signals.

I really like the GM performance division badge. Nice touch.
