Won't fit.

Besides you want wider tires up front to help reduce tq steer

Conjecture.

I've asked many times for someone to try and all I get back are a bunch of "it won't fit"s.

Why doesn't someone actually try it out?

Tire rotation. Can't do it stock. And instead of buying two 18x7s and throwing 245s on them, he opted to get 2 front 18x8s and use the widest tire possible.

what rims are you running ? 18x9 or 17x9 /tire sizes ? will they fit/work on our impala ss ? also will these tires/ including drag tires kill our tranny's sooner ? rkvette

I'm running stock wheels, 18x8 in front with 275/40 and 18x7 in the back with 245/45. They will fit SSes and Supers. There a couple of people running DR and their trans is ok. Not all transes will fail.

I wish I could run 16s, but they won't clear our rotors.
