Default Exhaust Manifold

Okay so down the road i want to go CT Turbo so it looks like headers are out of the question. Whats that Process called where a shop pushes that sandy mixture through the exhaust manifolds to enlarge and smooth them?

Has anyone tried this?
How were the results?

I was thinking of going in there and doing some of it by hand myself to remove some of the main restrictions and then let the shop take care of the rest.

Thoughts?

Ideally i want to do that , 1.8 RR , LS6 IM and a built tranny before i go turbo.
(still waiting for DS to release tranny stuff....)

Not worth it IMHO. Costs about 700.00 bucks!

Idk to me it seems like it would get the best results especially with the CT turbo kit.
