Absolute PITA. You have to get in there with a big three jaw puller to get the balancer off. That means you have to seperate the cradle from the body to get space to work in the wheel well (see my cam thread), or pull the engine.

No aftermarket parts like usual, but there are always custom options.

Just loosen the cradle bolts. Support the cradle with something. Remove right front tire. You should see it fairly easy. Remove bolt from harmonic balancer. Use a pulley puller to remove pulley. Reverse for install. I put one on mine 2 months ago. No. There is no aftermarket available. I thimk I paid about $76.00 for mine new from the dealer.

I had mine go out and my warranty paid for it. The grand total from the dealership was like $1500!!!!! But again, it was from the dealership. I only paid $100 from my warranty plan.

Oh, crap, I didn't check your location first, makes sense now, Canada. We had a guy stop in here with a 4500 truck, hauling hay, the idler pulley on his duramax fragged out. He actually ordered parts from us for when he comes back in a few weeks because the prices were practically double what he would have paid.

I would have to look into what shipping it to Canada would entail with our shipping and receiving guy. Would be monday before I had an answer for you.

If he has UPS shipper he can, IF he knows how. It'll cost quite a bit more than a regular shipment, if u didn't know already.

It's pretty easy to do, u just have to explain what you are shipping and the value of it before you process it.

Saw no such holes in mine. Just a regular bolt with a washer on it. It's been running great for 2 months now.
