You might want to order just one. They just use spacers. You may be able to make your own, once you see how they do it. For that matter I have a ZZP kit out in the garage that I would sell for $15 shipped, minis the gasket and filter.

I wouldn't buy anything from ZZP for any LS4 car, mostly on principle. They assume that, what's good for an L67 is fine for an LS4.

Quote from ZZP: "We don't recommend a trans cooler because they leak..." Yeah, whatever dude.

So next question when my cat disappears will it effect drivability? My tuner is a ways a way so it would have to be driven there

Shouldn't hurt drivability, though it will lean you out quite a bit. You'll also be looking at the CEL a lot until you get it tuned.

Also, make sure your tuner deactivates the cat over-temp routine in the ECM. That will really help out your highway mileage.

If you dont get it tuned out it will throw a CEL. Once tuned out no issues with emissions.

Just put the catted pipe back on the car at smog time.

Also, I'm pretty sure there's only one OD ratio for a 4T65. Why change it, anyway? A lower gear means worse mileage with pretty much no benefit. If you mean lower numerically, our .70 is pretty close to the ideal for an OD gear in 4-speed automatic. If you went to a lower numerical ratio (.50, etc.) and assuming one is available, you'll wind up spending less time in OD or you'll lug the engine.

numerically would be correct the whole 85 on the free way is a ***** on gas

it looks like if i mess with the cat thats the route i will have to go just cant figure out how much $$$ i want to put in to a car i dont plan on keeping more that a year and a half but i guess if my tranny dies what the hell why you have your wallet out you might as well get it over with but no cat and a new tune would get me down to a low 14, man thats depressing

I guess it depends on how much time you spend at 85 MPH on the highway versus other driving. Remember, the lower (numerically) the OD ratio, the less time you spend in the gear. My '99 Camaro SS had a 3.42 rear and I could really only use 6th at 70 MPH or above. 6th gear in that car was .50. I would get my best mileage in 5th (.74) and about 65 MPH. Any faster, even in 6th, and the mileage would still drop.
