You CAN order CLEAR PlastiDip... Not sure if it'd make it shiny at all, or just how 'clear' it is.. But, someone needs to try it out, lol..

Does this correct surface imperfections or do you have to fix the rash first?

I think that might depend on how deep your rash is. In his pics you can see that the "Alcoa" is still legible. I would think that plastidip would hide scratches to some extent, but it's not thick enough to mask a deep rash.

So you did not have the tires taken off! That is awesome mine have some minor scratches and a pretty good rough one but this stuff would prolly make it all look very nice! Good job.

How well does the plasti dip clean? Wheel cleaner too harsh on it?

Nope, leave em on and spray. The stuff peels off pretty easy from the tires.

Honestly I wouldn't use any kind of wheel cleaner on them. I would imagine the cleaner would eat through the paint.

I just wash mine with the same mitt I use to wash the car with and they clean up fine.

Just did mine a few days ago! Love it so many Compliments!!!did all 4 in about 3 hours

P.s they are burnout safe! Sooo roast those tires;p

Wife said no when I mentioned doing some black powdercoating to the rims





she is gonna flip when I take the GXP out and come home with black rims!!

OP, you got screwed if you paid $200 for 12 cans, on the Home Depot link they are 5.98/can!!

I couldn't find them at ANY Home Depot where I live and could only find them at Lowes for about $8.50/can.
