Cruise Control Disengaging

Cruise Control Disengaging So i am driving to Atlantic City over the weekend and i have the Cruise Control on and all of a sudden the dash says "Service brake assitance and Traction contol off" so i pull over and restart the car and it does it again when im about 5 minutes away from the Casino. The cruise control disengages and wont work. Has this happened to anyone else? What is the problem?

It's probably loose cables. I just replaced the battery back in December with a new one which was a pain in the ***. Cruise controll helps me with my gas mileage. I know this car is the wrong car for good mileage but who'd expected the gas to rise up from 2.70 to 4 bucks? I have best of both worlds a powerful car that spins the tires with ease and a car that gets decent highway mileage (27 hwy mileage)
