Default Cruise Control Disengaging

So i am driving to Atlantic City over the weekend and i have the Cruise Control on and all of a sudden the dash says "Service brake assitance and Traction contol off" so i pull over and restart the car and it does it again when im about 5 minutes away from the Casino. The cruise control disengages and wont work. Has this happened to anyone else? What is the problem?

Battery dying or loose cables.

Happened to many of us.

It's probably loose cables. I just replaced the battery back in December with a new one which was a pain in the ***. Cruise controll helps me with my gas mileage. I know this car is the wrong car for good mileage but who'd expected the gas to rise up from 2.70 to 4 bucks? I have best of both worlds a powerful car that spins the tires with ease and a car that gets decent highway mileage (27 hwy mileage)

I forgot about the speed sensor. I've been through two of those.
