230 f trans temps and clunking @ 33k mi?

Default 230 f trans temps and clunking @ 33k mi?

as title states is 230 too high of a trans temp? seems hi to me. also having a clunk into first when in tap shift mode and let tranny down shift itself into first at a stop. If i down shift myself or am in "d" there is no issue. All the trans hoor stories are beginning to worry me. I have an aftermarket warranty for life on engine and drivetrain but that would require me to put my muffler's back on ( delete) and factory air box back on. not a very big deal but looking for insight on weather to install a trans cooler or return to factory for warranty service to avoid one less mod to reverse when tranny goes bybye. B/c it will. but i wouldnt think at 33k mi....???

What do you guys think?
Was getting ready for a custom tune and now wiery due to this?

230 is waaay too hot. I would get that clunk checked out.

He has a GXP, and it's selectable on the DIC.

Ignorance could be bliss for you non GXP owners! lol.

I watch mine occasionally especially when pulling my little trailer. Rarely see over 200.

It's been 100+ degrees everyday for like the last 2 weeks here so I've seen my tranny at 215-218. But obviously I'm attributing that to the rediculous heat. On "normal" days when it's in the 80's and 90's it'll hover around 188

In those temps (80s-90's), I'm around 155-165. Huge trans cooler makes all the difference in the world .

Never seen anything higher than 178 since the new converter and TEP valve body.
