HVAC help

Ok, so i was going to replace the center speaker, put in a GM12-AUXv2 and replace two bulbs that went out in the HVAC. So I go to the auto parts store and they tell me that there is no listing that it's a dealer item. I go to the dealer and they tell me that the whole HVAC has to be replaced. So i asked the dumb question how much? 400 are you kidding me! So i would like to know if anyone has replaced them and what are they? Are they LEDs that just need new ones resoldered in?

well there is deal about replacing them just dont remeber if it was on here or on a Impalla or grand prix site. go to radio shack.

So they are LEDs? I haven't pulled anything apart yet. I was just looking to see if anyone has done this and knew what size they were.

There was a thread on ClubGP a while back about it. A couple guys fixed theirs with leds from Radio Shack. Doesnt seem too hard to do.
