Does it support 2005s? Some sites say yes, most say no. I'm just looking for a cheap option to turn the DOD off. If it doesn't support 05's, who does, Superchips, HPtuners?

 

I was told it would work on my '05 GXP....I shelled out the $ to buy one, hooked it up and it wouldn't recognize my car so ended up having to sell it used at a huge loss.....which is a shame because I ended up buying a used one when I picked up my TBSS

 

Diablosports official website lists the U7191 as only working with 05 SSRs, C6 Vettes, and GTOs...No go for the LS4s until 2006.

 

Am I stuck using HP Tuners or buying a Trinity?

 

make sure your car has the latest GM updates applied from your dealer... then get a trinity...

I have done custom tunes for guys with 2005 gxp's / trinity's... they are supported...

if for some reason you have an engine calibration ID that is not supported, then the trinity should save a copy of your original backup file, and you'd post that up on diablo's site and they'll make a revision update for the trinity to include support for your car.
