HID headlights
What options do we have on hid headlights? I dont want to rig anything up really just want to buy a system and put in so to speek.
All help is greatly appreciated
Thanks Logan
OP, you don't really need the harness relay if you go with the 35w ballast. Some guys get it for peace of mind but it's not necessary. it is cheap insurance though since the harness' go for like $10 on ebay. 35w is what the majority of us have.

A cheap relay harness can cause all kinds of problems. This happened in my Impala...One day, no lights. Replaced the relay, still no lights. Cleaned the battery connections and checked the wires, still no lights. Put a new harness in it, works great now.
All of my cars have been retrofit with HIDs, and I wouldn't think about running without a relay harness. It's definitely worth the $15 or $20 for a decent one.

Just throwing my .02 cents out there, for what it's worth. I've had my HID's for about a year and 3 months, driven 18,000 miles, and both fire up every time without a hitch and I don't run relays. Like I said in my post, it IS cheap insurance to get the relay. Last edited by Hawkins04; Jul 22, 2011 at 07:01 PM.
I have the 35 watt DDM kit without a relay and haven't had an issue
