ran a modded ls1 goat
im stock and he had headers, cai and dyno tune. well we did 3 30 rolls and i help up pretty damn good. i would pull ahead at first then it would be even for a long while then he would put ahead and once he shifted again i would catch a little then he pull away a little bit. he never got more then 2 car lengths ahead. about 1 1/2 every time. it was a pretty good race.
I raced one the other day totally thinking he would kill me. Nah didnt happen got him till about 60 then he pulled ahead.. it was a 6.0 too. EIther he didnt know how to drive, or was toying with me lol
All in the driver. My buddy had an 04 (350 hp LS1/M6) with a stock motor to the air box, had the resonators removed and spin tecks put in with no tail pipe. car went 13.0x's on motor and 12.2x's with a small dry shot. I can safely say that even a modded LS4 would have trouble with that car, especially from a roll as it pulled real hard in 3rd and 4th.
My dad has an 06 LS2 GTO and all I can say is, unless the guys a moron driving, you should get walked pretty hard even in a Modded LS4. I just watched a guy with an 06 GTO with intake/exhaust and predator tuner put down 354whp/354wtq in 105 degree ambient temp humid-@$$ weather. Before that, same dyno, kid with a bone-stock LS1 GTO put down 303whp/321wtq. In other words, they're quick

I have never seen a stock 04, especially an M6 do anything NEAR a 13.0X. NEVER. I raced a stock one this weekend and put about a bus and a half on it. Hell, my buddies 06 full bolt-n M6 would only put about 1.5-2 cars on me back before I was tuned for the intake.
my brother just picked up a 04 GTO cam'd LT's full exhaust. stock air box 350WHP on mustang dyno and it will kill my gxp hands down anything over 30MPH
the previous owners best was 13.2 at 110mph.
