I know I don't have an SS but i have a 2006 impala LS (3.5L V6) and im really wanting to do my exhaust right. I keep hearing about the Hogan Downpipe and was wondering if anyone knew if my downpipe is the same and the SS's because the only one he offers is for the V8 06-09 Impala. Also from what i hear the 3.8L downpipes that EVERYONE makes does not fit my car.
Thanks

well i did, he said he wasn't sure and couldn't promise anything. Sounded more like he didn't want to deal with it or was having a bad day. I just know that i've been looking around at direct bolt on converters/downpipes just to see what will fit what and the one that cherrybomb offers for my car will fit (according the the application list) the 3.5, 3.9 and 5.3L...so going off that, my downpipe should be the same as the SS's...

if your looking to just add a little more rumble to your exhaust just get a cat back dual.
I just got magnaflow CB exhaust and gave my buddy my old SS exhaust, He put it onto his 2000 impala (was virtually identical, minus the flange between the cat/resonator & tubing size) He did have to take off the flange and get the SS exhaust welded directly to the cat tho..
But it did make a big diff in sound (he also says its more peppy)
