forgive me if this is a stupid question but....
I recently bought an engine cover so i can paint it.
The one i bought says "Displacement on Demand"
The one i have on my car says "Active Fuel Management".
it got me thinking why did they change the engine cover? and is there anything different with the cars that say DOD compared to the AFM ones?
I know this has probably been answered before but i couldnt find a thread.
thanks

actually, even for 06, GM changed it half way through the model year... Marketing gimmick...
early original 06's, like mine, had Displacement on Demand on it... which is the same damn thing as Active Fuel Management...
but due to marketing issues, since Displacement on Demand made it sound like they were taking power away, they changed it to Active Fuel Management...
