Need advice We have had our IMSS for about a year and a half now, and have always had an oil consumption problem along with fouling plugs like crazy. Its gotten to the point where i need to permanent fix or we may have to get rid of the car, which i dont really want to do.
After all the reading i have done here i thought that our 2qt/3000mi consumption wasnt too bad compared to some people's.
I have ran mobil1 full synthetic since we bought it 25kbut mi ago.
Well about 6 months ago it fouled 2 plugs and was missing like crazy so i actually had the chevy dealership replace them so there would be documentation of the issue.
About 3 months after that i decided to change all the plugs out. They now have maybe 4k mi on them at the most.
Well my wife called and said it is missing again and the oil light is on
I plan on taking it back to the same dealership to see what we should do.
What information should i being to best prepare myself? Do i need to print the TSBs on oil consumption?
The car also has a couple issues like front end suspension work and trans flush that will probably cost some change in the very near future.
I am considering trading the car in if i cant get the oil consumption\plug issue resolved.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
