07MCSS Performance Upgrades

I have been having my '07 Monte Carlo SS for about 5 years have almost 100K miles. I would like to know what performance mods I should go with to get my ride up to par with some of you guys.
I am a newb so excuse me if I ask some ignorant questions. First off I see alot of you guys talking about a "Built Tran" what does this actually mean and how much does it usually cost (I have replaced transmission twice in this car and its only inevitable that it will go out again). Other Mods I want and would like suggestions: CAI, Exhaust, Tran Cooler, Suspension, Shift Kit, etc...

Headers, Turbo, Tune, Tranny cooler,ignition, engine mounts.

`what transmission are you on , first one , but downpipe , catback , intake and tune are good points , after that you have turbo or headers , cam , and heads . But your gonna need a transmission at some point to take the abuse .
