Before you buy a new trans... ...try changing out the pressure and all shift solenoids. My car was at the dealer a few months back and they were gonna overhaul the trans due to my slipping and sloppy shifting issues. After further diagnosis they changed out the solenoids instead.
I didn't wanna jump the gun and say all was well, only to have it screw up again, so I drove a few months before posting about it. Well, I'm happy to report not one hiccup from this trans yet. I like my car again!

That would be a big then, the valve body isn't located on the bottom near the pan like most transmissions. It's located in the side cover facing the driver side strut tower. Engine cradle needs to be dropped to do this.
I too had a single solenoid replaced by the dealership because it was sticking but did not cure up the problems.
