GXP Lowering Springs Strut Concern
I have a 2005 GXP that just turned 64k miles and my main concern with lowering it is the fact that my struts have 64k miles and I'm not sure if they can handle it or not. Any suggestions???

Not to steal the thread but, I jacked the car up the other day and I noticed as I sat it backdown my left rear strut was kinda sticking and studering as it lowered... I did the bounce test.. Good there. Driving around I can hear a thumping sound... Any ideas befor I take it to the shop???

Camber bolt kit check them out online at advance. They are a bolt that you put in place of the bolt in the bottom of your strut so you can adjust the camber of that wheel. you need that bolt because from the factory the only way to adjust without the camber bolt is to slot the holes in the strut for the adjustment

While your doing everything its just better to replace any part that fails or becomes undesirable at 100k and struts is one of them.
Even the springs i would replace with new ones and then cut the coil.
I cut mine on my monte carlo but she was brand new back then. No strut problems so far. I've just replaced the springs n strut on my cadillac 97 eldorado with only 70k miles and they are in horrible shape , i'm sure time had allot to do with it but still.
Also check your knuckle bushings as this can cause poping or grinding sounds.
