How much does a trans cooler help?

Topic. I hope this isn't a dumb question but I heard these trannys don't last to long. Thanks.

I don't have the extra extra external tranny cooler, I just have the stock through-the-radiator setup... and my tranny lasted to 98,xxx miles... probably would have went longer too if my radiator didn't clog up and prevent the tranny fluid flow through it to cool hahaha...

All automatic crs will have the in-tank cooler, which isnt all that great. My car runs 20-30 degrees cooler with a B&M stacked plate cooler. P/N #70264 iirc
