Another Tranny Bits the dust
Well I made the list. 2007 Monte SS purchased Nov 20th 2006. January 15th 2012 with 25,800 tranny slips while doing 45mpg. Next day hard shifting. Last night...Thought I was in neutral after stopping for a light. Limped home in like 4th gear. This morning was going to limp to the chevy dealer in 4th. never made it down the block. nothing left. Awaiting for a tow. Just 2 months after the 5yr warranty.

Sorry to hear about this. 25,000 miles is definitely on the lower side to have a failure.
If the dealer doesn't give you any love on replacing it, I would suggest you consider calling Triple Edge Performance and ordering a trans. You'll pay about the same price as a GM remanufactured transmission, but it will have all of the flaws corrected that causes these problems in the first place. The trans or rebuild you get at the dealer will not have this, so it's possible you could have these problems again.
The downside is, TEP is extremely busy, so you might be waiting a few weeks for your new trans.
