Default Tire pressure sensors

I have a '06 gxp with 56k miles. For awhile I was having problems with the abs/stability system disabling. Now that hasn't been a problem lately but now every time I start the car the dic says check tire pressure. I check the tires frequently and have never had to put air in them and the pressure is 30 psi all around. I've seen other posts that say the '06 cars don't have tire sensors but use wheel speed to calculate air pressure in each tire? Thanks for reading and any replies are greatly appreciated!

I would double check your tire pressure, then reset your tire monitor on your dic.

I had this problem before and just as Brain said, it will usually keep coming on until you go into the DIC menu and reset the tire pressure monitoring system

Thanks for your replies! I checked the tire pressure and reset the system. So far the check tire pressure has stayed off! I have owned the car for almost 2 years and put 17k miles on it and never really had to put much air in the tires. I guess its just one of those things?
Thanks everyone again!
