Waiting for my heads to get back from getting pocket ported, milled and valve job.
Also, I am going with Morel street lifters and Psi 1511 Max life springs. Hoping for 30 more hp.
I will be having the shifts set up for 6200. No more 6800 shifts.. To scarry.

Got it up and running from the dead on Friday night, and drove it around on Saturday for a few hrs. So far so good, with tons of power... The head work has really woken it up! Very nasty sounding at idle.
I haven't taken it to redline yetand I want to make sure all is well.
Current oil blend is 1/4 cup of trans fluid with 1/2 qt of Lucus oil stabilizer, mixed with 5qts of 5/30w dino oil. This is my break in blend that will get dumped after a few hunderd miles.

Here is my short block with 3 coats of Pontiac blue and 3 coats of clear. I used VHT high temp solvent resistant paint.
Pocket ported 243 heads with performance valve job, milled .005"

It runs and is a real terror! Now I just need to find a way to eliminate the anti score and abuse mode. Traction is impossible with street tires and after a few spins the power cuts out and the trans upshifts immediately. Very annoying!
My buddy Ross, has convinced me to get hp tuners, so now I'm in the hunt for a good deal.
Engine swap was a lot of work and I'm pretty burned out

Valve covers are aluminum, and its hard to see the block with everything up top. From under the car, its amazing. I plan on getting my valve covers polished later on this spring, and adding some billet blue fuel rails. Painting the block should help to keep the road grime from sticking. I am also waiting for some new katech blue spark plug wires.
I can post some pics with a idle sound clip once the weather clears up. This car is no longer my daily driver.

Just out of curiosity how much did you pay to have the heads milled, and when you did this the first time how much stronger did it feel with bumped compression? Was a tune necessary for this bump in compression?

I paid 300 for the head work. I sold my Cutlass to the operator a few years ago, so he gave me a screaming deal.
He went to Joe Mondellos porting school. The heads feel like the cam swap all over again.
The heads were olny milled. 005" so the bump in compression is minimal, also he was very concerned with port volocity from low to mid valve lifts:-)
These heads would have cost me around 1200 so for 300 I am greatful:-)
The track will be opened soon, and I am saving for 17's and E.T streets. I will definitely keep you guys posted.
I did capture so idle vids but my dam 4g network doesnt want to upload them.
