Kill story So I'm sure a few of you have had your incounters with turbos!! But I've personally had problems with the Srt4 guys ever since they came out. That and the ss cobalts..
1st off I killed a sc cobalt pretty bad. Have yet to race the turbo one.
Back to my story, a friendly guy that lives near me has a srt4 with about 6 grand in mods. He was too proud of it, I was kinda nervous before the race. Thinking he's boosting 20lbs plus.. anyways from a 20-25 roll I stayed dead even with him till he shifted to 2nd then I pulled half a car.. stayed there. Didn't pull on me at all. only got to race to 70ish due to traffic (on my private road hahaha) but then got a second race, about 25 to 70 again. Same story!! Had half a car on him.
He followed me home and was very disappointed.. he thought he would kill me LOL.. my guess is 1 he didnt have that much in mods or 2 can't drive or 3 I got lucky I didn't race him through his 3rd gear haha I've heard those have a mean 3rd gear.
If I'm not mistaken don't those run 13.9 stock?? I am honestly dumbfounded I beat this guy.
I'm thinking if this was a highway pull he would've got me in 3rd????
My gxp is bone stock.. I'm 185lbs and I have a 100lb sound system!!

Either way, Nice kill. They have 230 hp and 250 lb of torque, but they're also like 2900 lbs or something like that. I wondered about this match up as well as the S/C colbalt SS...One thing for sure, they have massive torque steer if they are putting down 300+hp
The guy was lying about having 6g's in mods unless he's counting his car payments as "mods". Plus he probably couldn't drive for ****. Stock vs. Stock would be a good run, but if he's pushing 20psi he would have walked you.
S/C cobalts are turds in stock form, the GM stage 2's are pretty healthy and will give a good run(i've got friends with both). The T/C cobalts with a decent drive will walk us.

I honestly thought he was going to destroy me.. I've raced one before in a old car u had and they never stopped pulling on me lol..
One of these days ill boost the GXP then I'd be glad to race any
car out there just to hear my bov hahaha..
Does anyone out there have any runs against the Srt8 challenger? It blows my mind they only run 13.3s with a 392cu in motor... Think that's what they have..

Just an FYI, ST4s run 14psi stock, that is strictly wastegate pressure, if he had a boost controller (manual or electric) he can run as much as his mods could handle even on the stock wastegate. The stock turbos on SRT4s run out of steam at about 24psi anyway, plus the heads don't flow for **** up top. Thats why they are super torquey down low, but they fall on their face pretty quickly in stock form.
