New GXP Owner, Tire Issues

New GXP Owner, Tire Issues I bought a 2008 GXP a few days ago and noticed some slight shaking or trembling while driving. It feels as if the wheels are loose or it's in need of an alignment. It turns out the tire size is 225 on both the front and rear tires, and the 18x7's are on the front with the 18x8's on the back. Could this be the reason? I know the larger wheels are supposed to be up front with 255's and not 225's.
I called a tire shop and asked what it would cost to put some 255's up front with the 18x8's and he said it wasn't possible to do it because it would ruin my suspension, and no vehicle has different tire sizes on the front and back. Gee, thanks.

Go back to the tire shop open up your door and point to the tire size sticker that says 255 front 225 rear and tell them to go get some tires.

So a tire shop guy has never heard of staggered wheels? 
I would call a different store because I would never give that guy any of my business after that. But I would show up just to prove him wrong, like 91parkave suggests.

i ran into a place not knowing the fronts are bigger as well. honestly this is the first car i've seen with bigger tires/wheels in the front so i dont blame them.
but then again you would think putting larger tires on the back of a front wheel drive car would of raised a red flag.
