Tranny go bye bye Lost my trans, but not in my GXP, in the TBSS. Irony? Nope. Just love vehicles with weak transmissions I guess.

sweet! I just lost my tranny in my 06 impala SS...lost the D gear 1st then 1 went then 2 and 3.what is the best way to go about this problem get a tranny rebuild?how much will this cost? I am at 100k miles so naturally i have no warranty!!! please help I am new to chevy's...i cant wait until the 2014 impala ss comes out it will be RWD at least.I need some info please?

I paid 1732 at my local reputable trans shop. 12k 1 yr warranty. I did not spring for any upgrades as this truck will stay mostly stock. Best bet is to buy a built trans from TEP or buy TEP parts and have your shop install them. Call around and get some quotes. Or pour some no slip in it and trade it in.
