oil consumption issue So, I've had my car a week and the SES light came on for a P0449 emissions code. And now I get a message for low oil level. Its been roughly 1000 miles since its oil change. I'm starting to think that I may have screwed up not getting any warranty from Mr. CarDealer.
I see some people use a catch can on I'm guessing the PVC valve line to reclaim some of the blow by caused by DOD operation. Is there a thread where someone has a how to on this?
I may have another leak somewhere else who knows. I'm stuck @ work now and this is eating away at my new-to-me car euphoria. Lol. Car drives and performs great!
But is this acceptable oil usage or am I facing even bigger problems like valve guides or oil rings losing tension @ 92k miles?

It's the DOD. I'm at almost 100k and mine uses 1qt every 1000 miles. The p0449 is a different issue. I also have this same issue and have since I got the car over 3 years ago. It's an evap vent solenoid issue.
