Default Assistance with an AUX outlet.
Girlfriend went and bought a 2007 grand prix gxp. It hsa the 6disk cd changer with the cd/aux button. To my knowledge no XM.

She wants to be able to plug her mp3 player in but wants to retain the stock function as much as possible.

Is there anyway she can get an aux cable to work with this set up.

Anything I know having the XM lets you tap into that but seeing as she doesn't. Is there any route she can take.

Does the GXP not have the 9mm input jack?

Not sure what you are referring to. It has no aux hookups as the ss do.

Sorry, I think it might be a 3.5mm input jack. Either way, it's the jack on the stereo that allows you to plug in your phone, ipod, etc. The same jack you use for headphones.

Yes, it would be a 3.5mm jack, but the Pontiacs never got that option/feature.

Only option is to get those FM transmitters. They allow you to use your mp3 by "jamming and using" a radio station. Only like 19 bucks at your local walmart.

GXP's never had the aux option. I ended up purchasing a unit that allows me to use the aux input option. I always forget the name, but I will probably be pulling the car out this weekend and I can get the name of it for you. Its easy once you figure out the wiring.

iSimple Gateway, it's the best thing you can get in order to have an AUX output and iPod support. It was plug and play for me.
