baltsk8er69 has an 08 ISS and bigboymike68 has an 06 ISS. Both appear to have stability control based on their comments. Seems strange that they would get rid of it for 07 only.

I have an 08 and I didn't see it turn off either, but I could just not be holding it long enough. Had it sitting in park and after the TC message went away nothing happened and I let go.
