Default Climate control unit removal

Hey everyone, so not to long ago my AC went out in my 06' Monte Carlo SS. I tried replacing all the fuses as well as the relays and nothing happend. I just recently went out and tried it again, and now the AC has come back on. The issue is, it stays at a constant speed and will not shut off unless you turn off the car and even then it still goes for another 3-5 minutes. Has anyone run into this issue or know how to fix it? I think it could be the Climate control unit itself. How do you take the AC control unit out? I know how to get to the blower and everything and I plan on checking that as well. I am just unsure as to how the control unit comes out.

I am not sure about your problem, but to take the a/c unit out do the following:
1: pop off the trim piece around the a/c unit, cd player
2: disconnect the airbag plug
3: unscrew the 6 screws(4 hold in the cd player)
4: disconnect the wires on the back of the a/c unit
Hope this helps!
